Is Feng Shui really friendly for all genders? While there is no question to the fact that it can invite some positive vibes into your home just by the mere art of rearranging your furniture and the orientations of your surroundings, it may actually reveal so much more about culture if one takes a good look at it.
Harness the power of Feng Shui to create great RICHES and SUCCESS Today!

Feng Shui also has its own Yin and Yang to speak of. If you are really intent on ruminating on the deeper aspects of Feng Shui, you may have to dig deeper beyond what you see on promotional materials and even hate literature against Feng Shui. For the most part, Feng Shui is quite harmless in nature and it does not really explicitly cause major changes in one’s lifestyles or belief systems.

But if in case you choose to be more meticulous, you may find that analyzing beneath the layers of promotion of Feng Shui that there is more to it than just rearranging furniture.

Feng Shui refers to the art that involves healing, balancing, and enhancing energies that surrounds people. This is done so as to get the perfect harmony with nature. The goal is to maximize the flow of Qi, which refers to the vital energy life force of the universe, resulting in prosperity, good health, ideal relationships, career development, happiness, and more. For a person to learn this ancient art, one needs to undergo some good Feng Shui training.

This art form uses the practitioner’s analytic, intuitive, and critical communication skills. In this art, a practitioner needs to attain a certification to achieve the integrity as an expert. Before they get a certification, experts should attain a good education in this art, just like other professionals.

Some art centers offer an in-depth exploration of contemporary and universal theory and practice along with the building of the intuitive arts, essentially used by successful practitioners. The Certification Program offered by schools include training in Feng Shui, meditation, manifestation practices, dowsing, prosperity consciousness, bau-biology, energy theory, related astrology cosmologies, and clearing practices.

Feng Shui training can be a vital tool to make an easy life transformation for people, their homes and their work places. Hence, practitioners can be of service to people. They will be given good opportunity to help those who are in need.

The training can be attended personally or online. Classes are normally taught by instructors, practitioners, author or certain books, and other experts. Online classes offer a self-paced learning environment. For the home study course, there is also self-paced learning environment using the same materials as the online course except that there are mentors who will assist you.

Even more importantly, Feng Shui has served as an essential guide for many modern homes and businesses, through the use of many Feng Shui enhancers. One such item that every home or office should have is what they call the Feng Shui wind chimes.

The disciplines that fall under Feng Shui are generally concerned about the flow of chi, which is the life energy, in every person or place. To be able to get good luck or good health, there must lie a perfect balance of the life forces that surround you and your home or work place. According to Feng Shui sources, if there is an imbalance of chi in the body, one can feel unwell or acquire diseases. In addition to that, if an imbalance of chi is present in the business, it may not be very profitable. Feng Shui windchimes, like many other Feng Shui remedies, serve to enhance the flow of chi and harness it to your benefit.

Feng Shui windchimes, as many people would initially see them, are attractive and hold aesthetic value as decorations in the home. Not only that, but wind chimes produce tones that are soothing and relaxing. Even after a long and tiring day at work, one will definitely feel more refreshed and calmed when the tinkling sounds of windchimes are heard. However, as Feng Shui products, wind chimes are beyond just beautiful home décor or soothing music makers.

Feng Shui windchimes help distribute the flow of chi into your home in an even or balanced fashion, because too little or too much chi in one area is generally not ideal. For instance, if a street begins or ends facing the front door of the house, there is too much strong chi coming in. Placing Feng Shui wind chimes will help soften the chi and allow it to enter the house gradually. Here is another example, if a portion of your home is lower than other parts, such as the patio or a deck, chi does not easily flow there. As Feng Shui cures, you can bring more chi into this part of your house by hanging windchimes outdoors.

Feng Shui wind chimes are made from various materials, and you can select them based on how attractive they are, their size, and the quality of sound they produce. Some Feng Shui items can be made of metal, wood, ceramics, clay, and others. You may also do additional reading or consult a practitioner to find the most appropriate Feng Shui enhancers for your home.

Basic Facts About Feng Shui
The Chinese words Feng Shui literally mean (Feng) Wind and (Shui) Water. This highlights the emphasis of Feng Shui which put great reference to the nature, the environment and the surrounding.

In fact, Feng Shui has little or no connection with religion although Feng Shui is sometimes also being mistaken as part of Taoism. It is not, although they do have some similarities in certain theories about luck and environment. Feng Shui is in fact a study of the natural elements that can affect our life, health, relationship and wealth.

If you dig deep into the Feng Shui applications, they focus very much on the placement of the elements in your surrounding. A comprehensive and effective Feng Shui application focus on the placement of furniture, the design of the layouts and all things that enhance the physical and natural environment.

However, some Feng Shui practitioners use a lot of Chinese ornaments as Feng Shui cures and enhancements; this is because the application was influenced by Chinese Culture as it was originated from China more than four thousands year ago.

In China, due to the Cultural Revolution that suppressed many ancient Chinese beliefs for decades, Feng Shui was almost lost to the world. Thankfully, there were many Feng Shui enthusiasts and practitioners who escaped from China during the Cultural Revolution and they were able to pass on most of the Feng Shui knowledge and application through the generations. Thus, do not be surprised if you observed that the Chinese in China do not know as much about Feng Shui or practice the Feng Shui application as much as the Chinese outside China.

It is common knowledge that our environments have a great impact on our lives. Feng Shui is the Chinese’s ancient way of understanding that influence. Thus, understanding of Feng Shui and the correct re-arranging of Feng Shui elements can lead to an improvement of our life, health, relationship and wealth.

An Essential Feng Shui Tip
“Get Rid of Clutter” – Almost every good Feng Shui class or seminar would say it so. Ever wonder why? That’s because it’s the truth. The basic premise of Feng Shui is that your life experience, even the extent of your luck – is influenced by your surroundings. At the same time, the state of your home or workspace is a reflection of your mood and attitude.

A simple tip which Feng Shui masters will never tell you as it is just too obvious. This is one tip which they will not tell you when you ask them (at fees costing up to thousands of dollars) to Feng Shui your home or office. Why? Because your home or office would be tidy and neat on such a day. Isn’t it so?

Many a times, Feng Shui tips are as simple as keeping your homes or offices neat and tidy. Getting Rid of Clutter is the most important way to dramatically improve the Feng Shui of your home.

It’s a Feng Shui tip that many take for granted. They rather spend lots of money buying Feng Shui ornaments which ironically add to the clutter in their homes and offices,
only to realise that their lucks are still as bad (if not, worse off than before) and then they blame it on Feng Shui and said that Feng Shui doesn’t work. Keep in mind that Feng Shui when applied in the wrong way can have adverse effects. So, please do not over do in terms of buying and placement of Feng Shui ornaments.

With clutter, most people cannot think clearly as they always looking for things among the mess. Imagine being feeling happy and good when your minds are always on finding things among the stacks of mess at home or in your office.

Think about this for a while.

You may heard about "Chi" (the flow of energy) and Feng Shui. Clutters basically affect the Chi, and thus your luck. Clutter creates bad Chi flow because it prevents good Chi from flowing within your environments.

Clear the clutter and you clear the space for good Chi to flow, which is much better than placement of any Feng Shui ornaments, to kick-start the good Feng Shui in your environment.

If there is one tip that you want to take away from reading this article, that will be:
Before you rush out to buy any Feng Shui ornaments, start with clearing up your clutter.
Get rid of the mess and you get rid some of the bad Chi (and some bad luck…)

How to implement the art of feng shui into your life.

 What is Feng Shui?

Feng Shui (meaning wind-water) is an ancient Chinese science based on the theory that all things have a positive and a negative energy, more commonly known as Chi. The art of Feng Shui is the practice of positioning positively energized objects in your home and workplace to counteract the negatively energized objects. It is believed that such orderly arrangements create an environment of harmony, clarity, and prosperity that not only affect you and the members of your household, but also those who come to visit. Feng Shui has been practiced by millions of people of various cultures and faiths worldwide for centuries, and is still popular today.

How to Implement the Art of Feng Shui into your Life

Implementing Feng Shui into your life can be slightly challenging at first. You will need to educate yourself on which particular objects exude positive and negative energies, and where to place these objects in your surroundings – the two most significant factors in the art of Feng Shui. The selection of artwork is also important. It is not unreasonable to believe that certain images in one’s home can bring out a flurry of emotions in the viewer. Here are some tips to help you get started on your choice of artwork, and its arrangement:

Artwork for Career

To bring about a positive change in your career, hang images of water or metal in the north area of the room you work in. Koi Fish are recommended for career improvement, as they bring energy to aspects of professional advancement, luck, and relationships with co-workers and employers. Pictures of waterfalls, the ocean, a lake, all waters, especially framed in black or dark blue, enhance the energy flow.

Artwork for Reputation

Place images of fire or fire symbols in the south corners of your room to heighten your fame or reputation. The phoenix is a powerful symbol of fire, and the horse inspires confidence that will bring you fame and luck. Also, images of red rocks, sand, and hot deserts are recommended for creating distinction in all aspects of your life.

Artwork for Prosperity

In the southeast section of the room, place the image of a golden frog to increase wealth and prosperity in your life. The most powerful images consist of the golden frog amongst green bamboo or trees because wood is a key element in this area. Another excellent choice is to hang pictures of wooden or golden pots filled with coins.

Artwork for Love

The southwest area of the room (preferably the bedroom and/or living room) is deemed to hold the strongest energy for love and passion. The rose quartz is a symbol of love and healing, so displaying it would help improve your relationships, and perhaps invite a new love into your life. Also effective is to hang a picture of a fox amid bright flowers and foliage.

Artwork for Children

On the west side of the bedroom, place images of elephants to bring luck in the area of fertility, posters or prints of Buddha to carry luck in your children’s future, and pictures of unicorns to protect them.

Artwork for Health

Although the sector for general health within your home is said to be in the east, it is highly recommended among traditional Feng Shui practitioners that every individual find out exactly where their Tian Ye zone is situated. This is crucial for personal healing. For longevity, display images of tortoises and peaches, as in ancient Chinese practice, peaches are used to prolong immortality. The sunflower is a powerful healing symbol, as is the Wu Lu, a gourd that promotes good health.

The above topics are just the tip of the iceberg, as there are many aspects to the art of Feng Shui. Inform yourself and have patience, a virtue that will enhance your journey into this ancient science.

About the Author: Art Historian, Donovan Gauvreau lectures about art therapy with a focus on creativity development.
Feng Shui is a Chinese metaphysical art of living in harmony with the environment and harnessing the energy of the living space for the well being of the residents within a property. The essence of Feng Shui is to activate the positive energy and eliminate the negative energy. It is important where your property is located relative to the mountains and the rivers…

There are environmental factors that we need to consider when checking a property or site for Feng Shui compliance. The external landforms such as rivers, waterways, roads, lakes, hills, mountains or rises in the land does play an important role in Feng Shui. A property that is aligned with these landforms in the correct location and direction is deemed auspicious and the people living in such a property will enjoy harmony and prosperity. Likewise, a property that is misaligned in relations to these landforms is considered inauspicious and residents will suffer misfortune and bad luck.

A property is categorized under three cycles and nine periods based on Feng Shui San Yuan formula. There are the upper cycle, middle cycle and lower cycle. Each cycle governs three periods and each period last for twenty years. Therefore, a cycle will run for 60 years before the next cycle takes over.

The current period is known as Period Eight which started in Feb 2004 and will expire in Feb 2023. In this period, there are certain compass directions a property should comply with based on the Indirect/Direct Spirit Feng Shui Formula as follows:-

Indirect Spirits – Southwest, East, Southeast and North

Direct Spirits – Northeast, West, Northwest and South

The formula specifies that a property should have its front facing the Indirect Spirit and its rear facing the Direct Spirit. The Indirect Spirit is a compass direction for the location of water in the vicinity whereas the Direct Spirit is a compass direction for location of hills and mountains in the distance.

For instance, if the front of a property is facing a lake or river in the Southwest and has its rear looking towards a mountain in the Northeast, it is said to comply with the Indirect/Direct Spirit Formula. The property can tap into the auspicious energies which bring health, relationship and money luck to the residents. On the other hand, a property which faces a mountain in front with its rear end pointing towards a lake is said to violate the Indirect/Direct Spirit Formula. Residents will not enjoy good luck and tend to face obstacles and challenges in their life.

This is only one of the fundamental factors in Feng Shui with regards to landforms. It is a matter of Yin and Yang. Yang relates to the Indirect Spirit and Yin the Direct Spirit. Ideally, a property should face Yang and sits Yin. Yang is the side of the property where there is most noise, activity and brightness whereas Yin is the side of the property where there is peace, stillness and dimness. Likewise, Water is Yang and mountain is Yin. When water and mountain are at their correct compass directions in relations to a property based on the Indirect/Direct Spirit formula, Yin and Yang is said to be in balance.

Apart from the above formula, there are other Feng Shui formulas which relates to the interior of a property, namely Flying Stars and Eight Mansion, to name the more popular ones. These Feng Shui formulas allow residents to map out the energy distribution within a property based on the facing direction (Flying Stars) and sitting direction (Eight Mansion) respectively. It is equally important that a person’s date and time of birth be taken into consideration so that the energy of the property is correctly aligned with the resident’s energy or life force. In Chinese Astrology known as Four Pillars of Destiny, a property with good Feng Shui can help to enhance or mitigate the effects of any positive or negative luck cycles a person is going through in order to live a happy and successful life.

For more free consultations on Feng Shui and free Destiny Reading based on Chinese Astrology, you can also visit proactive-qi.com.

We spend the good part of our lives in our bedroom doing a variety of things but most importantly sleeping. We are at our most vulnerable when sleeping therefore our bedroom needs to be safe, secure, and intimate. To help you achieve harmony in your bedroom, which will lead to positive effects in other aspects of your life, I have compiled a list of tips to follow to Feng Shui your bedroom.

1.It is ideal to choose your bedroom in the room furthest away from the front door. On a subliminal level, this gives you the extra feeling of protection, stability and security. They say that the worst possible place is to have your bedroom facing or close to the front door, however being realistic, sometimes you don’t have much choice- so follow the other tips I have listed and do the best with the space you have.

2.To create a cosy and welcoming atmosphere paint your bedroom neutral colors such as terracotta, cream or peach, colors like light blue, green or lavender will create a tranquil vibe and invite healing energy. If you are looking to spice up your love life stick with pinks and reds, which will increase the romance in your life, although limit the use of such color to slight accents; bright color such as red, or orange, yellow etc, are often associated with Yang which can be too stimulating for the bedroom.

3.Position your bed as far away from the door as possible and out of the direct line of the door. Avoid putting it under a window, which lacks the symbolic support and protection of a solid wall and can lead to fitful sleep as energy enters and exits through the window. Invest in a wooden headboard as it can provide strength and support to your head.
Whatever you do, make sure your feet don’t point out the door while in bed. In traditional Chinese culture, this is called the "Death Position" because the deceased are carried out feet first. Practitioners believe sleeping this way can drain your life force. If you can’t avoid it, use a foot board or a substantial trunk or other piece of furniture at the foot of your bed. Finally, leave enough room around the bed for energy to flow freely, and for each partner to get up with ease. Always use curves not corners, sharp corners on bedroom furniture act as ‘poison arrows’ directing positive energy away from you and creating an uneasy environment. To alleviate this drape fabric over the sharp edges to create fluidity.

4.De-clutter! Clutter in your bedroom prevents the free-flowing of Chi. However, don’t solve the problem by putting everything under the bed. This will block energy and lead to stagnation in life. Consider the objects that you have in your room, remove any work related items, and any objects that hold past memories that are best forgotten; as teddy bears from a past relationship.

5.Tip: Place a plant in the corner of your room to prevent energy stagnating there and increase the Zen by limiting what’s on your night stand to a lamp, a couple of inspirational books, a picture you love and a plant or fresh flowers.

6.Remove items such as TVs, exercise equipment and computers, they take up a lot of energy and can distract you from rest and romance. Further to this although having a few books placed on your nightstand can encourage your Zen, having shelves loaded with books all calling out to be read and thus distracting you from rest. If you must have these items in you room then it is best to use a screen to hide them whilst sleeping or keep your television set in a cupboard so that it can all be shut out.

7.If your single and wish to be partnered up then decorate your room as if you already are; place side tables and lamps on both side of the bed. Accessorize in pairs and ensure that everything is symmetrical. For those already in a relationship consider the bed your love shrine, place loving items on the bedside tables such as a photograph (the photo should not be a family pic but of you and your partner), a pair of candles and a rounded (not spiky) leafed plantremember to place a few pink or red accent in and around the bed to encourage romance.

8.A common Feng Shui trick is to place pictures, art or items around the room that represent what you would like to see in your own lifesuch as inner peace, love or success. A carefully chosen piece of art can have an impact on your own personal achievements.

9.Do not to place a mirror opposite, next to, or over the bed. This will bounce too much energy around the room to allow for good rest, and will magnify problems and worriesand it is thought that mirrors in the bedroom can invite a third party to interfere in your relationship. The only cure to such a dilemma is to hang decorative material or curtains in front of the offensive mirror, cover them up when you retire for the night or if possible turn the mirror away from the bed.

10.Lighting is an important factor in Feng Shui, encourage natural light into your room by using blinds that can easily be opened in the morning encouraging the light and shut at night blocking out the dark. Balance light from a ceiling light with several low-lying lamps which will cast a softer glow across your room; calming the energy of the space down at night.

Feng Shui – Develop a Positive Attitude With This Philosophy

The Chinese call the expression of "energy" Chi, but what are the basic qualities of this energy? It is invisible, intangible and changeable however we all feel it, in some shape or form. If we can lift our Chi or spirit we will get more from life and this is exactly what Feng Shui helps us do.

The Chinese call the expression of "energy" Chi, but what are the basic qualities of this energy? It is invisible, intangible and changeable however we all feel it, in some shape or form.

If we can lift our Chi or spirit we will get more from life and this is exactly what Feng Shui helps us do.

Lifting Your Spirit & Mood

Feng Shui is the ancient Chinese art of manipulating and arranging your surroundings to attract positive life energy, or chi, so that it flows smoothly, unblocking any obstructions in your body and environment.

The Origins of Feng Shui

The geography of China requires careful consideration when constructing and planning buildings as the mountain winds are unforgiving and the lower areas are prone to flooding, which gave the art its name of wind and water.

Feng Shui evolved from the theory that people are affected by their surroundings Feng Shui is a guide to, respecting our surroundings and working with the flow of nature to create a harmonious environment, making us feel better and derive more from life.

The origins of Feng Shui date back several thousand years and although it originated in China, it now has millions of devotees worldwide.

Feng Shui theory

Take an example such as air, If there is one quality within air that we are all naturally aware of, it is the presence of oxygen as we can’t live without it!

We all feel when we have exercised that our body is well oxygenated and our Chi, our spirit and mood, feels invigorated as a consequence.

Conversely, if we sit for a long time in a hot Smokey room or sleep in an unventilated one we, will feel tired, despondent and unenthusiastic. There are of course a huge amount of examples of how are environment influences our lives, of which the above is just one.

The flow of chi is influenced by a number of factors of the physical environment.

Colors, shapes, orientation, lighting, objects and their positions, the use of space, and the degree of cleanliness, all impact collectively upon our senses and determine a home’s energy flow.

This flow affects us continually and affects our moods. You spend most of your life in your home and workplace and your surroundings significantly influence your Chi and moods so you want them to have a positive impact.

Feng Shui makes our houses and our workspace generate positive energy, which then attracts more positive energy to enrich our lives for the better.

The purpose of feng shui

When you Feng Shui a home or a work place, you’re making a statement of what you want from your life.

Whenever you say the words "I am," you are making a statement about who you are at an exact moment in time.

When you make statements such as "I am broke" or "I am tired" you are in effect telling the universe about your mood and your condition. When you say you’re sick and tireduniverse about your mood and your condition. When you say you’re sick and tired, you probably will be Sick and tired.

Statements like "what you think about, you bring about," and "what you do comes back to you." underline what Feng shui is all about.

Instead of being negative Feng Shui focuses on the positive "I am feeling great", "I am in good health", "I am rich" or "I am happy."

These statements are mood lifting and create an ideal, which be different to whom you are at the moment.

This power of intention and the faith in your potential can help you get more from life.

If you’re intent on getting rid of negative beliefs, Feng Shui will create a method for you to adopt positive beliefs, in your personal space and a method to help make more positive things happen in your life.

How Feng Shui enriches your life

If you think about it, your surroundings are so important to your mood and how you view the outside world that, getting an environment to reflect your aims and aspirations makes total sense.

Learn how to Feng Shui your space and you will change your life for the better.

A Feng Shui Bagua is one of the essential tools for practitioners to determine the Feng Shui of a place. The Bagua is divided into 8 directions, similar to that of a compass. After the division is made, you can see that there are 9 areas on the Bagua map, in which each area represents a different aspect of life.

Knowing the fact that each of the 9 areas represents an aspect of your life, you can use the Bagua map to determine what went wrong in the Feng Shui of your home. As such, you can also make the necessary amendments to enhance the quality of your life.

Below is a list of the 9 areas of the Bagua map and how each area affects an aspect of your life.

Wealth and Prosperity The area of hsun gua on the Bagua map represents wealth and prosperity. Pay special attention to your kitchen sink as it symbolizes the flow of your wealth. If you encounter any financial problems recently, you should do a clean up of your kitchen sink as a dirty kitchen sink might block the flow of your wealth. Call for a plumping service, as clogged water pipes will affect your wealth flow as well.

Fame and Reputation Fame and reputation occupies the Li gua of the Bagua map. If you find that someone is gossiping about you or passing bad remarks about you, it is time for you to take some action.

You will need more "fire" energy to improve your relationship with others. One simple thing that you can do is to wear some accessories that are yellow in color. Yellow color emits cheerfulness and friendliness, which will help to improve your relationship with others.

Relationships Relationships lie on the kun gua of the Bagua map. If you encounter any relationship problems, it is time for you to make some adjustment to your bedroom, especially your bed. Adding a bamboo wind chime to improve the flow of positive energy (Qi) should be good enough.

Families The jen gua of the Bagua map represent families. To maintain harmony in the family, the living and dining room should be well decorated. It should be spacious enough for family gatherings. There should also be products such as crystals to enable a smooth flow of Qi in these gathering areas.

Health and Balance The center of the bagua map represents health and balance. To maintain good health, there should be a smooth flow of Qi throughout your house. The flow of Ying and Yang energy should be well balanced to ensure good health.

Creativity or Children Creativity or children lies on the Dui gua of the Bagua map. Brightening up your workspace with more Yang energy sources will inspire you with new ideas. If you want to have a child, you must first improve the flow of Qi in your bedroom. Having better lightings and putting a few crystal balls beside your bed should do the trick.

Self-understanding Self-understanding is represented by the Ken gua. An object that affects this area of your life will be the window. The window affects your self-perception. Therefore, it is vital that you clean your window regularly because a dirty window might mean that you may not be able to see things clearly.

Career The kan gua symbolizes your career. The front door and pathway of your house will affect your career. Most of the time, people will hang auspicious Feng Shui products on the door to ward off the negative energies (Sha Qi).

Helpful Friends Helpful friends will lie on the area of chien gua. To become acquainted with more helpful friends, you should try to get rid of any Sha Qi that is circulating around you. This Sha Qi prevents you know knowing new people. You can wear a crystal accessory such as a crystal bracelet to get rid of the Sha Qi around you.

Anyone that has researched Feng Shui history knows that this level of interaction between all things is the theory of chi. Although chi is present everywhere, it pools in special places which are very auspicious in feng shui. When a less than auspicious placement occurred, Feng Shui cures were sought to change the flow of energy. This inclusion of nature into the living environment is the first point in Feng Shui and it provides solid ground for higher levels above. The art of Feng Shui is the balancing of energies through adjusting the relationships of particular items in the environment. In Feng Shui, a home and family were lucky if they were blessed to be placed in the most auspicious surroundings.

Feng Shui is an ancient discipline which shifts the chi (life force energy) in your home to improve your life. It is becoming better known in the West for one good reason: It works wonders. One of the basic rules when decorating with feng shui is to make sure that the path of energy, whether good or bad, cannot flow through your home. This happens when windows are directly across from each other, or doors are directly in front of a window. When good energy flows through your home, you can have good luck one day and bad the next, since the good energy has just flown through. When bad energy flows through your home, it is believed to cause more than just bad luck, including death and pain. Although the bad energy can flow out of your home, it leaves its wrath and can be hard to fully get rid of.

When a neighbor’s driveway points toward your front entrance, counter it by affixing a pa-k’ua mirror to the door. Pa-ku’a mirrors are usually available at Chinese gift stores. A pa-k’ua mirror can also be used against sharp, pointed objects directed at your house for instance, TV antennas, protruding tree branches, or spiky architectural features. Place a large mirror behind the stove so that you won’t be surprised when someone comes up behind you. Hang a mirror up at the end of a hallway so that it does not seem like a dead end. If the West section is missing in your home, you can install a bright light or a mirror to partially remedy this problem. You can also activate the West section of your bedroom as well. Do not sleep facing a mirror. The water element of the mirror will cause ill health. Avoid having any water feature in the bedroom such as aquariums, paintings of rivers and lakes, computers or televisions.

Avoid sleeping in a room where a toilet or washing machine is located upstairs. Sleeping underneath an exposed overhead beam will cause headaches, depending on where the beam ‘hits’.

Arrange furniture so you can face the doors while sitting. Make the environment much more comfortable by arranging seating areas away from drafts and adjusting lighting. Clean up clutter to encourage relaxation and help you to find things easier.

Widen the front walkway to your home to make it more inviting. Be sure paths between rooms and through rooms are wide and easy to use. This allows you to walk around easily, as well as promotes chi. Oil your doors so they don’t squeak, reducing mental irritation.

Fresh flowers will spread their fragrance all over so decorate flower vases with beautiful red roses and tulip flowers and place them at different corners in the house.

To arrange furniture always start with an empty room. Once a room is empty, you can then fill it one piece at a time. You should begin with the larger pieces, like the couch, bed, television, etc. When placing each item, analyze whether the object is relevant to the area and whether people can flow through the room without running into anything. Ask yourself if you really need it in the room you are working on, or if it would better fit into another room, or if you should donate it, to goodwill. You do not have to put everything back into the room that you took out. Get rid of whatever you have left after arranging each room. This is considered clutter and can slow down your positive energy.

Arrange furniture so you can face the doors while sitting. Mirrors are good in most rooms, but once again avoid their use in the bedroom (invites third parties into the relationship) and also they should not face the front door as this causes Chi to bounce back and out the door. They are good for use in long corridors, kitchens with stoves facing the wall and living rooms where you cannot see the front door from when seated. Make the environment much more comfortable by arranging seating areas away from drafts and adjusting lighting.
