In feng shui, the different parts of our homes relate to different parts of our lives.
We use a metaphysical "map", called the Bagua to determine the intersection between life patterns and the physical space.
By properly applying the Bagua, you can literally learn to influence the events that come into your life, by "activating" the energy of these different sectors.
For example, do you feel stuck and eager to have new energies and changes enter your life? Let's look at the sector related to that very energy of "new beginnings." (above)
Using the ancient map of energy, called "the Bagua", you can associate different parts of your home with the nine different energies of you life. In modern applications, we align your front door with any of the three areas at the bottom of the diagram, and the energy then moves in a clockwise direction.
If you are feeling stuck and needing new energy the area in the middle left is associated with family and also new beginnings. In Chinese, the name for this sector is "Chen."
The element associated with Chen is wood, so living plants, and also the colour green, will help build the energy of this area.
