In the previous newsletter, we acknowledged that, in Feng Shui, the bedroom is considered the most important room in the home.

And after that?  The kitchen.  This is the room where families and friends gather, to share nourishment and good times.  In modern society, the kitchen is no longer just the place where we prepare the food, it is now usually the room where people gather the most.

In Feng Shui, the placement of the stove is considered to be deeply impactful on the wealth of the family.  Since this is where the food is prepared, it is symbolic of how nourishment and wealth come into the home.

Just as the Command Position is important for the placement of the bed, it is equally important for the placement of the stove.  Ideally, you would be able to stand facing the stove, and see the entrance of the kitchen from that place.

Unfortunately, most homes have the worst position for the stove, so that your back is to the door while you are cooking.  If so, what to do?  I understand that it is not so easy to move the stove to a new position without renovating the kitchen.

You can, however, apply a small Feng Shui cure to fix this condition. Consider installing a mirror at the back of the stove, so that, when you are cooking, you can see the room behind you.  This will give you a sense of the Command Position, and give you “eyes in the back of your head.”

Not only does this cure give you a greater sense of command in the kitchen, it is also considered to increase the wealth that comes into home, by reflecting the burners of the stove and thereby “doubling them” and the wealth that they represent.

Try this cure at home, and see how it can change the feeling in your kitchen, and even perhaps of your prosperity.
