“What is Your Vision?”

How are your New Year’s resolutions going for you…?

Oops, have you forgotten about them?  If so, you are probably not alone!

As you know, it has become a popular tradition to consider the New Year as a time for resolutions.  We often want to change for the better, and can be tempted to make a juicy list of commitments for better habits, which will probably not live past the following week! 

So, then, how can we really create change, so the year will bring different and perhaps pleasantly unexpected experiences?

I have found that, in order to be powerful, resolutions need to be connected to a personal vision which is both practical and inspiring.  Otherwise, how we expect to uphold a new way of living?

To get a sense of the vision you are holding for yourself, you do not need to look any further than the four walls around you.  

In Feng Shui, what we place at eye level on our walls is directly symbolic of our view of the future.  Photos and souvenirs from the past on our walls may mean that we only desire what we have known, and do not have a fresh vision ahead.  

And what if our walls are bare…?  This suggests that we are probably living without any vision at all, and are unsure of what we want.

If you desire an exciting future ahead, consider putting a vision on your walls that will inspire you and cue your subconscious to lead you in the desired direction.

You do not need expensive art work to fulfill this function;  search for some posters which represent the life you would like to live, or scan photo archives online for pictures to make a vision board.

And from there, make a resolution that this will be your future!
