A Feng Shui Tip from E. J. Shaffert, Director of London School of Feng Shui
In the previous newsletter, we discussed that, in Feng Shui, the bedroom is considered the most important room in the home, and second to that is the kitchen.
Today, let’s consider the symbolic and energetic importance of the stove. Perhaps only 1 x 1 meter in size, this is the point in the home that determines how nurtured we feel. Imagine trying to live without a stove (microwave ovens are not an adequate substitute, in my opinion).
In Feng Shui, the stove is also symbolic of our wealth, so be sure to keep your stove top clean and uncluttered. And here is another energetic tool for increasing the prosperity that comes into your home:
Consider hanging a wind chime just over your stove, so that every time you stand there to cook, your head will gently brush up against the tassle that hangs from the chime. This is a very pleasing way to spread the vibrations that flow over your stove top, and this in term is thought to increase the flow of prosperity.
The sounds coming from the chimes, while you are cooking, will also let the rest of the family know that dinner will soon be ready!
Enjoy,
–E J Shaffert
