The art of Feng Shui teaches us important ways to work with this energy in a space, similar to the way that an acupuncturist works with the chi energy lines in the body.

The condition of your front door directly affects the way that the chi energy enters your space. For this reason, I usually spend a good deal of time with my clients examining the front door.

Take notice of the front door of your own home: Is it attractive? Do you feel happy when approaching it?  Is it clearly visible and accessible, or obstructed and cluttered?

Your front door is a metaphor for your connection to the outside world, and it sends subconscious cues about the opportunities you feel you deserve.

Therefore, make sure that the areas inside and outside the door are unobstructed and well lit.  You may want to use an automatic timer or motion sensor, so the outside of your home always feels inviting.

Next, consider installing an attractive “Welcome” mat at the front door. This helps visitors to enter the space with clean feet, and also gives them a feeling that their arrival is appreciated!

And here is a popular Feng Shui technique to usher in prosperity: 

Place nine Chinese coins, connected by a red ribbon, under the “Welcome” mat. Point the coins towards the door, to symbolize that wealth is approaching your door.
